There are three main areas in the world where petrified wood can be found, Indonesia, Madagascar, and USA. The sizes vary greatly from small pieces to huge tree trunks weighing up to ten tons. They can be cut into slices and once highly polished are beautiful to behold with a huge variety of colours and hues.
