Amargasaurus Egg shell
Product description
This is a very good Egg Shell from the Dinosaur, Amargasaurus, from the Cretaceous, 146m to 65m years ago. It was discovered in Patagonia, Argentina.
An almost complete skeleton of Amargasaurus was discovered in Patagonia in 1984. this revealed that it had a highly unusual row of vertebral spines, up tp 65cms long, running along the back of its neck.
Amargasaurus was relatively small in comparison to its larger Sauropod relatives, so perhaps the crest acted as a warning or deterent to others.
It normally grew to a maximum length of 12 metres.
This is a very interesting fossil to own, and has very clearly defined shell structure.
Size: 6cms x 4cms
