A wonderful addition to any collection of British Ammonites, This group of seven complete Amioceras semicostatum were discovered in the Holderness Coast, Yorkshire. Glacial deposits probably brought the rocks down from Robin Hoods bay, on the North Yorkshire Coast, during the last Ice Age. They are from the Jurassic Lower Lias, 195m to 200m years old.
 
This plate is exceptional, with 7 complete 3D ammonites on the same plate, all fully inflated, and a wonderful colour contrast to the surrounding matrix.
Realistically priced, and one not to be missed.
