Product description

This beautiful pair of Ammonites are of the species Perisphinctes, from the Jurassic of Lyon, France, and date from around 160 million years ago.
They were marine creatures related to Nautiloids, and used the chambers in their shells for buoyancy in the water.
 
A really pretty double specimen in fantastic condition. 
 
Fossil Sizes : 3.5cm diameter & 4cm diameter.
