Product description
This is a very pretty shell of the order Brachiopoda, Catazyga headi, dating from the Ordovician Period, 440 million years ago. It was discovered near to St. Petersburg, Russia.
It was a bivalve, very similar to the many and diverse bivalves that exist in our oceans today.
A really nice display item.
