Product description

This specimen is a floating crinoid, Saccocoma pectinata, from the world famous Jurassic deposits at Solnhofen Lagerstatte, Bavaria, Germany.
All fossils from this site are highly collectable, and it had the necessary environment to preseve these very delicate floating crinoids.
 
The matrix has been repaired, but the fossil is as found.
A really unusual piece.
