Product description

A huge example of a Procheloniceras Ammonite from the Aptian Limestone, Coastal Sahara Desert, Morocco. It dates from the LowerCretaceous, 112 million years old.
They were marine creatures related to todays Nautiloids, and swam using air for buoyancy in the chambers of their shells.
 
This is a very dramatic piece, both for its size and its quality.
A fantastic natural sculpture for the home.
