This is an extremely beautiful piece of petrified wood from the Triassic, around 200 million years old, discovered in Arizona, USA.
Many of these forests pre-dated the Dinosaurs, and the trees would have been part of a scenario much like the Amazon Forests of today.
 
The colouration of this piece is spectacular, and it would make a great display item.
