A Mammoth Tooth dredged from the North Sea by fishermen. Mammoths lived in the Pleistocene 2.6m to 10,000 years ago.
Mammoth teeth have very flat grinding surfaces, and they would have eaten grasses and the leaves of low shrubs.
50,000 years ago what is now the North Sea was a vast plain upon which the Mammoths roamed.
