Product description

Well preserved pair of Mantelliceras ammonites from the Cretaceous, 135m years old. They were discovered in the Anti Atlas Mountains of Morocco.
They were marine creatures related to todays Nautiloids, and swam using air for buoyancy in the chambers of their shells.
 
This is an unusual pair of ammonites, mounted on matching stone bases.
They look incredible in any setting.
 
The price is for the pair, but they could be sold separately if requested. Please ask.
