Highly polished petrified wood from the Triassic, 200 million years old, discovered in the Chinle Formation, Arizona, USA.
Many of these forests pre-dated the Dinosaurs, and the trees would have been part of a scenario very much like the Amazon Forests of today.
 
This is a beautiful display item with a wonderful brown lustre.
