This is a very good example of an enrolled Proetus Trilobite, discovered in the Sahara Desert, Morocco. It dates from the Devonian Period,
416m to 359m years ago.
It was a bottom dwelling sea creature, lying in wait for prey in the mud of the sea floor.
It is a distant ancestor of the modern Horseshoe Crab.
 
This trilobite displays fantastic quality, a creature from the dawn of life on Earth.
