Sauropod Vertebra
Product description
This is a very large, and rare, vertebra from a huge sauropod dinosaur, Rebbachisaurus ( related to Dicraeosaurus ), of the superfamily, Diplodocoidae.
It was discovered in the Sahara of Morocco along with other assorted bones and teeth, and dated from the Late Cretaceous, 99 million years ago.
They grew up to 20 metres (nearly 70 feet) long, and were herbivores, with a small head, peg-like teeth, and a long, graceful neck. Rebbachisaurus is distinct from the other large sauropods by having an unusually distinct, and tall, ridged back.
This vertebra is incredibly large and well preserved, with the structure of the individual pores of the bone still visible.
Teeth of this amazing creature are reasonably common in Morocco, but dinosaur bones of this quality are not.
A wonderful opportunity to own an enormous vertebra from this large sauropod.
