Product description
Framed example of a Chinese water lizard, Sinohydrosaurus lingyuansis. These creatures were only formally described in 1999, and are from the Cretaceous, 125 million years ago. This example was discovered in the Yixian Formation, Lingyuan, China.
It was neither fish nor amphibian, but descended from a land dwelling animal that took up a fresh water environment.
This framed artwork is a complete and genuine fossil of a 125m year old reptile.
