A wonderfully articulated Barasaurus besairiei (Owenettidae) reptile, dating from the Upper Permian, Lopingian Period, and is 260 million years old. It was discovered in the Lower Sankamena Formation, Ranohira, Madagascar. The articulated skeleton has superb preservation, and is complete. Stones are also visible next to the skeleton These were used in the same way Crocodilians swallow stones today, to allow them to remain partially submerged for long periods. The webbed feet show that this creature was well adapted to a semi-aquatic life style. Super quality, and very collectible. Size Matrix: 29 cm x 22 cm & Fossil 30 cm long.
