Peter and Guy Heaton are the father and son team who run Fine Fossils, and both have the same passion for exquisite and amazing fossils from earths remote and distant past. It is wonderful for them to be able to offer people the opportunity to own these incredible pieces of natural art, which, in most cases, it would be impossible to touch or hold, as they are usually found only in museums.

Peter started collecting fossils from a very early age, and he has many contacts throughout the world. He is responsible for the acquisition of the fossils, and he scours the globe for the very best pieces. Peter has also worked on fossil digs, including the famous Hells Creek site in Dakota, USA, where many of the most famous dinosaur skeletons ever found have been discovered.

Guy comes from an artistic background, and it is he who decides upon the correct frames and mounts to complement the pieces. The fossils themselves are not painted or altered. The work is simply to display them in the best possible way.
