An incredible Crotalocephalina gibba trilobite, of the order Phacopidea, discovered in Haman Laghdad, Morocco. It dates from the Devonian Period, 360 million years old Typically these trilobites have eyes low down on the sides of the cephalon, a large, bulbous glabella, and dagger-like projections on the ends of the pleura. This specimen has been prepared free of the matrix, in a "swimming position", and is extremely detailed. only one small scute is missing.
