Chelotriton Salamander

A rare Salamander, Chelotriton paradoxus (Pomel 1835), from the Gacko Formation, Gracanica, Bosnia.
It dates from the early to middle Miocene Period, and is 23 - 16 million years old.
Chelotriton is an extinct genus of an amphibian Salamander, which led a mainly aquatic life.
These are extremely difficult to find articulated, and are normally found as small pieces.
This is an exceptional fossil in this condition.
